bluedreams1810 asked:

My fiance & I are getting married in May and we are having a harpist play. What is a good song to be played on the harp as we exit after the ceremony? I do not like the Wedding March at all so I am looking for something else. Any ideas? We are either doing Canon D or Trumpet Voluntary for the processional and probably the “here comes the bride” music for me, so I need an idea for the exit music. Thanks!

The old Carpenters song, “We’ve Only Just Begun” would be appropriate. It would be beautiful as a harp instrumental.

Byebye bye by nsync no lol jk although that would create some laughs.
I would chose something light and cheerful! I love canon d I just learned to play it on the piano its so beautiful!!!
I would just go on youtube and search harp music or harp solos that way you can hear it I’m sure there’s a ton of free websites to go to to get free music sheets if you need them.

Best of luck and happy new year.

We had “Bless The Broken Road” By Rascal Flats but instrumental only, no singing. It was very pretty. The song had special meaning to my husband and I and we wanted it worked into our ceremony, so we had it as our recessional aka exit song. If you have a special song you and your soon to be have together you could have an instruments version of it played as you leave. It could even be your first dance song, only without words.

Personally, we liked “Dreams” by the Cranberries, so romantic and beautiful for exiting the ceremony. And “Where’d you Go” by Fort Minor for the last song of the reception.

How about “Con Te Partiro?” I love that song, it’s so pretty.

Here are several ideas and suggestions that could work:

Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Elton John
Celebration - Kool & The Gang
Circle Of Life (Lion King) - Elton John
Get Ready - Rare Earth \ Temptations
Get Ready For This - 2 Unlimited
Looks Like We Made It - Barry Manilow
Rocky I - Bill Conti
Rocky II: Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor
Star Wars Theme - Meco
Twilight Zone - 2 Unlimited
We’ve Only Just Begun - Carpenters
